We spent a few moments talking with Kyle about his roots and what drives him to continually pump out great jams. Kyle grew up playing music in his church, and his love of instruments and songs flourished. He shifted from the drums to guitar, and continues to gain motivation and make his presence known. He cites motivation from artists like Sting and Jason Mraz, but also isn’t afraid to say that older bands like The Carpenters and others can “give him motivation and bring a tear to his eye…”. Kyle aims to ultimately put music second in his life as a full time job, right behind his lovely wife who supports his efforts 100%. He hopes to continue music as his main effort, and has a full length EP coming soon (www.ilovekylewilliams.com).
Kyle describes his tunes as having hints of blues, rock, alternative, and even jazz. One of his main goals is to ultimately spread love with his music, and the concept of love, as well as the goodness that comes from it. Make sure to check out the full video (above) and the slideshow (below), and keep comin’ back to The Grid for more info on local musicians!
